Details

Following a brilliant Ben & Jerry’s Sundae on the Common 2010, this year the legendairy ice cream maker is offering fans double the fun – double the free Fairtrade ice cream, double the music and double the size! That’s right folks; in addition to Clapham Common in London, the Sundae festival is heading up north to Manchester’s Heaton Park for the first time ever! So whether you’re part of the London or Manchester herd be sure to save Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th July for a double scoop of Ben & Jerry’s fun!

There will be fun-filled activities for everyone, including fairground attractions, social activism, and plenty of hoof tapping! And of course, the traditional petting farm and less traditional bare toe wrestling will be back by popular demand. Band line-ups are yet to be announced, but previous musical talents gracing the Ben & Jerry’s stage have included Florence & The Machine, Scouting For Girls, Marina and the Diamonds and Doves.

Ben & Jerry’s is also launching ‘Be Herd!’, a competition giving unsigned music acts the opportunity to win a performance slot at the festivals and a super cool £1000. Acts will be able to submit their entries via the Ben & Jerry’s website (www.benjerry.co.uk), with the two winning acts being chosen to play at both London and Manchester festivals!

This year flavour fans will be able to sample the entire range of Ben & Jerry’s Fairtrade flavours – including the new Coconutterly Fair – a mouth-watering mix of chocolate ice cream with a coconut caramel swirl and chocolatey covered coconut caramel crunch pieces.

So save the date for a fantastic weekend of sweet, sweet music, fabulous Fairtrade activities and delicious ice cream. Hope to see you there! General release tickets will be available from 31st May.
