The Christchurch Food and Wine Festival started in 2000 and is one of the largest in the UK with over 150 events during the course of the week. There is a International Food market is held on teh first Saturday and Sunday with produce from local growers, food producers to German, French Italian and Spanish traders. Every year brings new surprises and with at least 60000 people attending the market over the weekend it is one of the most popular events in Christchurch all year.
2012 sees some exciting new initiatives including an expanded Kids Kitchen, more in the Festival's Cookschool held at The Kings Hotel (see links on the left) and a great addition for the second weekend of the Festival with The Great Christchurch Bake Day and Fete.
2012 also sees the return of the wonderful James Martin of Saturday Morning Kitchen fame.
Lesley Waters is our patron and she will be joining us for several events including the Demonstration Theatre, best of teh Best awards and and several more.
