A new music and comedy festival will debut in the North East this summer. The Redcar Rocks Festival will showcase an abundance of stand-up talent at Mackinlay Park the home of Redcar Rugby Club this July, with national names like Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Phil Nichol and Rob Rouse already announced to play. Joining the pair on Saturday 9th July will be Hilarity Bites New Act Of The Year 2010 Andy Fury, Kai Humphries, Carl Hutchinson, Tony Jameson, Dave Twentyman, Vikki Stone and the Flashbacks, and Tom Binns as Ivan Brackenbury & Ian D Montfort.

In addition to this superb line up of comedians a great music line up has been announced too with legendary punk rockers Sham 69, the brilliant Danny & the Champions of the World together with local heroes The Watchers, SKA-BOOM and Al Harrington on the main stage plus many others.

Tickets for the festival are priced at £10 or £25 for a family until May 9th, otherwise £14 and £30 thereafter. You can also pitch your tent at Redcar Rocks, with camping tickets set at £14 (£18 after the May deadline).
