Reflecting the themes of China, Dance and Air, the Festival will launch with a free, breathtaking airborne show by the world famous Argentinean company Voala, above the crowds in Salisbury’s Market Place. Other events include the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra performing in Salisbury Cathedral, one of the finest medieval Cathedrals in Britain, a musical performance by award-winning actress Patricia Routledge and Piers Lane, live comedy by Greg Davies, a UK Première by the Beijing Modern Dance Company and Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre Company will be returning with Hamlet and As You Like It, set in the atmospheric outdoor venues of Old Wardour Castle and Trafalgar Park. With plenty events for children including theatre, workshops and the free Playday the Festival has something for everyone.
