About

Campfire Social, Kevin Critchley, Alx Green, John Coley,

Welcome and a massive YEE-HAW to all of you who have shown your support to us over the past year since our first event!

Saughall Hoedown is a one day community arts and folk festival in the heart of the Cheshire Plain, surrounded by lush countryside and back dropped by the dramatic Welsh mountains.

The festival is held at Kings Acre, a small-holding where many community based projects such as the Kings Acre Community Project and a Forest school take place to support the village of Saughall, its residents and the biodiversity of the surrounding green belt.

Saughall Hoedown’s founder and owner of Kings Acre, Steve Wales, started the Hoedown fund raiser to support the local Scouts in early 2015. The Scout-hut unfortunately suffered significant fire damage due to an electrical fault and thanks to events like Saughall Hoedown, was successfully refurbished in September 2015.

The Hoedown continues to raise funds and awareness for the small community of Saughall and we need all the volunteers and help we can get!

If you’re a trader, potential volunteer or perhaps you run a wacky wonderful workshop, please follow this link to the Contact Page and get in touch!
