Whilst there are now lots of Food and Drink Festivals across the UK, many of them are clones of each other, involving outside exhibitors and celebrity chefs who are specially brought in for the event.

The Stroud food festival boasts an interesting mix of new foods, themed events and special promotions. In an era dominated by supermarkets and multinationals, it is easy to lose touch with where your food comes from and who makes it. This is a chance to celebrate Stroud’s great range of independent cafes, restaurants, markets, pubs, shops and producers who are all part of the lifeblood of the community.

Having now combined the Food and Walking Festivals, the Open Eco Homes, the Fringe and Vintage Fashion Festivals under the Stroud Festival Fortnight banner, the first two weeks of September is the ideal time to come and discover the delights of our area.
