The Big Bear Fest is a brand new festival in Essex. In its first year - this festival has been organised in memory of a very special man. In January of this year - Sam Bearman, age 24 became suddenly ill with meningitis - he was taken to hospital where he later passed away. The loss of Sam has had an impact on the lives of hundreds of people who loved and cherished the amazing man that he was.
Sam was an avid music lover and this is why his incredible parents, brother and family have arranged this festival in his memory. With an amazing line up, the festival - named 'Bear Fest' after the man himself - is a great chance for people of all ages and musical tastes to attend a fantastic local music event for a reasonable price. With the 'greedy bus' tickets - which include all day and overnight camping pass costing only £26.50, day tickets for £20 and children and family tickets with discounts - this is the ultimate affordable festival.
As well as all the incredible music available on the main stage - there will be an accoustic tent in the campsite area for people to jam in, battle of the bands competitions and a children’s area with entertainment and children’s performers!
As a special treat for all attending there is also a raffle. But this is no ordinary raffle. Around 50 great prizes are currently in the raffle but the top 3 include - 3 diamonds worth around £1,000 - a rare Prodigy poster signed by the band especially for the raffle and the top prize.
But a prize to top all prizes - Coldplay heard from one of their roadies about the Big Bear Fest and Sam and have all signed one of their guitars to be given away as a special prize.
If this wasn't enough - the money raised from this event is going to be donated to Meningitis UK to help in finding a vaccine to cure this wicked disease.
