Winterwell is a small festival, held in June at a secret location in the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside. With a capacity of just 1,500, the weekend is more private party than ‘get out of my tent’, ‘any chance of getting served this week?’, or ‘call that a toilet?!’And we love it that way.

Winterwell prides itself on maintaining an eclectic balance of music, and each year regulars such as Norman Jay and the Nextmen play alongside an array of unsigned talent, which in previous years has included the likes of Metronomy, We Have Band and Stornoway. The line-up this year is our best yet.

Held in a beautiful part of the Cotswolds, there’s lots going on at Winterwell to keep you amused from Friday through to Monday. Our theme this year is "Battle of the Board Games’, so expect wicked fancy-dress, glow in the dark table tennis and Giant Scrabble tournaments for our more cerebral guests. Naturally. Add a 5-a-side football tournament, great bars, heaps of friendly people, hot showers, wonderful food and perfect weather*, and Winterwell 2011 is one of the hottest tickets you’ll find this side of London 2012.

At just £100 for the weekend, which includes 3 nights camping and car-park, along with wicked music and a range of other fun goings-on, Winterwell is more than a bargain in many respects. If you prefer Festivals where you spend more time enjoying yourself than queuing for stuff, then Winterwell could well be for you.
