Fringe festivals are often known for their eclectic mix of performers and intimate settings, which can make for a unique and memorable experience. The Brasenose Fringe is no exception.
During the second weekend of August in North Oxfordshire, there exists a quaint fringe festival that draws in Fairport's Cropredy Convention attendees, as well as locals and those from further afield.
Performers are attracted from all over the world. The Fringe isn’t just folk, or rock, it extends into country, comedy, punk, blues and some niche genres and artists.
We’ll have some children’s entertainment between 11am and 12 noon (tbc) including an almost traditional Punch & Judy (with a twist).
Taking place in the spacious garden of the Brasenose Arms, the Fringe has gained a reputation for exposing up-and-coming performers to broader audiences, and sometimes, larger festivals with bigger stages!
