Secret Location

Joe Driscoll, Sheelanagig, Kasai Masai, Artful Badger Samba Band

Cock and Bull is taking place for the first time. Everyone who comes will have heard about it through a friend of a friend – that’s gonna make for a very special atmosphere. It’s not a 24hr rave but it is gonna be a big party, for a really good cause. We tend to think you can get more out of smaller events – small really is beautiful.

We all love farms, don’t we?

Cock and Bull is a celebration of everything good about farms. It’s our very own field-sized monument to cloudy cider, wellington boots, haystacks and lambs jumping up in the air.

This farm is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty – in a tiny hamlet that has been farming for hundreds of years.

We invite you to come and take part - Dress up/ don`t dress up / knit yourself a scarf/ loaf about / freak out/ debate / gorge yourself/ ‘do the reggae’ – whatever floats your boat!

Everyone is welcome! People of all ages, from all over the country will be coming down. We know that the people (that’s you) will be what make this a truly memorable weekend. Our inspiration as festivals go is Shambala, and they’ve been giving us a few pointers.

If you’re up for it, we’d love to give you a chance to get involved with the event - perhaps that could be performing/ running a workshop/ volunteeering… please get in touch with any ideas.

See the ‘what on’ section for more details but there will be all sorts going over the weekend.

We’re hand picking the best performers around to make this a real feast for a lucky 500. There will be workshops to give you hopefully some practical skills* to go home with. There’ll be places to chill out – stroll around the National Trust gardens or, get up early for morning yoga. Take part in a butchery masterclass… or debate ‘Does activisim ever work?` with the director of advocacy for Amnesty International. Or … just stroke a sheep. There’s something for everyone…
