About

JakoJako, Neuer Kammerchor Berlin, Die Wilde Jagd, Erland Cooper, Mira

The Detect Classic Festival bridges the past and future of classical and electronic music at an 800-year-old estate in the beautiful German countryside. Taking place at the height of summer from the 19th to 21st of July, it presents the perfect opportunity to escape the city and seek refuge in nature and music.

This year's festival edition features an impressive lineup of over 80 acts, blending both local and international talent, across classical and electronic genres – primarily focused on live music. The carefully curated program presents exciting vocal acts (featuring the Neuer Kammerchor Berlin, classical and electronic artist Die Wilde Jagd, the singer from Brussels Radio Hito, Perera Elsewhere performing with full band, and nouf?n, a poet and musician from Iran), classical concerts (e.g. Scottish composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Erland Cooper with ensemble), as well as talented DJs (featuring Mira, Lithuanian producer Roe Deers, Berghain resident JakoJako, and the influential sound maker martha van straaten).

Each year, audiences are invited to explore the Detect Classic Festival through a thematic lens. For the 2024 edition, the lineup will most prominently feature the choir Neuer Kammerchor Berlin and performances from the choir festival Liedstadt, as the festival team has put a dramaturgical emphasis on voices. This theme will also be explored through interactive installations, panels, and workshops for adults and kids, where artists and festival-goers of all age groups alike will contribute their voices to the festival’s score.
