Ey Up Mi’ Duck is one of the first music festivals to kick of the season, purposely staying small with a maximum capacity of 400.

The two day festival was conceived to showcase talent from across the U.K., those just starting out and others more practised and professional at their craft and to set the organiser a challenge and focus whilst overcoming an illness.

Ey Up prides itself on being a ‘not for profit’ festival where all our proceeds, after outlay go directly to charitable causes.

All our staff are volunteers, some of which work tirelessly throughout the year to ensure everyone has a safe and unforgettable weekend.

Our site is offered to us by the Amber Valley Rugby Club, who work along side us to provide facilities and refreshments throughout the weekend. The rugby club and their army of volunteers all help to make the weekend flow.

The rugby club ensure we all have a good selection of ales and ciders to keep us lubricated throughout the weekend with a well stocked beer festival to compliment our event.

Ey Up Mi’ Duck festival is a warm and welcoming event, with a family feel. There are two stages running alternately to ensure there are no clashes and everyone can see everyone who they want to, with music generally from 11.30am until 11pm. There is a strict 11 o’clock curfew outdoors to make sure our neighbours can get some sleep, but the fun and music continue well into the night in the club house. This is often when the magic happens as bands and solo artists will take to the floor and perform spontaneously together in an open mic/jam style to close the evening.

The ticket price will vary each year as artists fees and the services we require increase but we will always keep the ticket price to the minimum that allows us to entertain you with quality acts whilst still providing value for money and affordability. For this reason there are no camping or parking charges to worry about, the ticket price is what you pay.

On site there are fully functioning flushing toilets, showers and a breakfast menu in the club each morning. Dogs are more than welcome as long as they and their humans are well behaved. Owners are expected to clean up after their pets, there isn’t any excuse for leaving mess around where people are walking and children are playing.

We have a range of stalls , gifts, foods, drinks and children’s entertainment. We have themed days for everyone to enter into the fun and showcase their creativity and sense of humour.

Ey Up has qualified first aiders to ensure if their is an accident , it is dealt with in a professional and timely manner. There are also qualified security staff on site to ensure everyone’s safety.

What’s in the name

The festival is family run by the Seabridge’s and their friends, it is their grandma (mamma) that collected rubber ducks in her bathroom and after she passed somehow that inspired them to call the festival “Ey Up Mi’ Duck” in her name, after all what could be more Derbyshire than that.
