The long-established Bewdley Festival have announced a second new one-day festival for 2024 that will be taking place on Saturday July 13th. It has been created in partnership with The Bewdley School, who will host the day in their school grounds.
It is a festival with a difference, where the main participants are from the younger generation who are combining their arts performances with showing how the community can live more sustainably in a changing world.
“One Earth Festival” is a one-day celebration of live music and other performances for all the family. The day will include not simply live music but arts events, interactive workshops, presentations and discussions aimed at increasing awareness on how to live more sustainably.
Alongside a full day of music and activities across three stages, there will be a street food area, a bar in conjunction with Bewdley Brewery plus stalls from traders and community groups.
Festival has a target of attracting a cross generational group audience of up to 2,500 people from a diverse background. They are hoping visitors come from the Wyre Forest area and beyond. While this is the inaugural One Earth Festival, the plan is to make this an annual event that brings the arts and sustainability together in a powerful event that will educate, empower and engage all those attending and performing.
