Macmillan charity support event

Start Date

30th Sep 2017

End Date

1st Oct 2017

9 Bands 10 DJ sets

A non-profit charity event in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support is to be held at Farnell Fields, Paradise Lane on 30th September.
Following on from the success of last years event where £2,600 was donated to Macmillan Cancer Support, this year it will be held on Saturday 30 September and our primary objective is to donate £3,000+ to this amazing charity – it is a fact that most of us at some stage in our lives will be affected directly, either ourselves or through close relatives, by cancer and Macmillan do an amazing job in supporting those affected.
It looks to be a fantastic day, starting with meditation at 10am and yoga at 11am then with live music from 12 o clock to suit all tastes with headline KimarneMusic bringing a soothing jazz and soul performance. Followed up by other live acts including Dolly Mavies, Kapelle, Barnie Newman, Lee Wilkinson, South Newington Choir, Treacle people, Grit box, The collectives ( sing a long) etc .. all of whom are donating their time entirely for free to support this great charity event. In addition a  second stage will provide a range of easy listening DJ sets over the same time period; whilst a third stage gives the chance to engage with poetry, spoken word, circus acts, magic tricks and listen to discussions and possibly a shave off! Furthermore you can expect activities and stalls suitable for all ages through out the day. Feeling hungry or parched don't worry with barbecue food; exotic Persian food; cakes; spirits;local ales; the Gin Spot that was so popular at the Fete; and the Little Red Coffee Cart… amongst many others you are bund to find something to your liking.
we already know that there will be many people coming from near and afar to attend this event – lets use this to further showcase what our great village can offer!
adult tickets start from £10 each  or  £15 on the night if available, £25 family ticket,

Look forward to seeing you all again on the 30th of September.
