Where else would you hold the UK’s largest pie festival but in Melton Mowbray the UK Capital of Pies. A national celebration of pasties and pies, sweet and savoury, hot and cold. All undercover. Talks, tastings, workshops as well as cider, cakes cheese etc compliment the pies..

Piemakers from across the country will be sampling their wares in the hope of tempting you to buy their specialities. A number will be Supreme Champions or Class Winners at the prestigious British Pie Awards. New this year will be the Pie Kitchen where visitors will be able to eat hot pies at the Festival either on their own or accompanied by mash, veg and lashings of tasty gravy.

And not only pies, PieFest will have it all, from cheese to cider, cakes, beer and everything else that compliments the perfect pie. Most of which will be sourced from within the East Midlands Region.

Apart from the main event of perusing, choosing and tasting as many pies as possible there will also be a whole host of talks including “How to Rate a Pie” and “A History of Pies”. A ‘Pie Panel’ of experts will answer all your pie queries. There will also be workshops on how to make the perfect pie. Adding to the jovial spirit of the day there will be a range of entertainment on offer.

Set in the home of the famous Melton Mowbray Pork Pie and Stilton Cheese, this is a great day out in a rural market town.
