A Whole Day of Festival Fun for Charities, 23 Acts, 2 Stages + Fireshows, Entertainers, Workshops, Kids Area, Crafts, Food & Stalls, Real Ale, and more!

Something to Smile About 2015 is a 1 day festival to be held at the Thornensians Rugby Ground in Thorne, Doncaster.

Thorne Charity events use live entertainment to raise money and awareness for various Charities & Local Community Projects.

The benefactors from this event will be, CLAPA, Autism Plus, Jacks House, Miners Welfare, Thorne Conservation Group, The Foodbank & the Air, Sea & Army Cadets of Thorne.

We have booked some big names from the festival scene alongside a huge array of musical talent from across the local region.

The main stage will feature some of the best bands on the festival circuit alongside the biggest and best talent from across the north. Confirmed Acts: Ferocious Dog, Land of The Giants, Funke & the Two Tone Baby, Twisted Dolls, The Black Isle, Parsons Lot, Cold Revolt, One More Mile an Hour & Crooked Weather

The Cabaret stage will have a full day of acoustic acts, poets, spoken word and comedy sets. Something for everyone on show. Confirmed Acts are - Passion Play, Alistair Pearson, Scott Wainwright, Tom Pryce, Del Scott-Miller, Feral Indie, Workhouse Gypsies, Joe McCorristan, Hollie Barker, Darren Eastell, Scarlett, Dollar is Clinically Insane, Sam Wright, Stan Skinny, Joe Nodus(barefoot poet) + Special guest.

Throughout the day there will be free drumming circle workshops, circus skills, face painting, crafts, stalls, rides, activities and entertainers galore!

Food and drink all sold on site, we have picked our vendors with the thought of making this an affordable day for all and prices have been set to a very reasonable level.

Not only all of the above but Thornensians Rugby Club will be working with some of the best local breweries to bring a fine selection of real ales & ciders
