The 36th Americana International Festival re-sited to Loughborough Leicestershire in 2014 after spending twenty-seven years at the Newark showground, it is a family owned and run festival that pays tribute to the American Dream in the form of great automobiles, motorcycles, trucks and cool anglo-american music with numerous themed trade stands, food vendors and other great attractions for all the family. The festival has been attraction thousands of like-minded visitors from all parts of the UK and beyond including regulars from the USA, Canada and Australia who have made it their main point of interest when visiting the UK. It is possibly the biggest unsponsored family orientated festival in this country that is still owned and stage by the same couple who started it way back in July 1980 on a public house car park.

The fantastic live music usually spans seven decades and is performed by over thirty hugely popular artists who between them cover, roots, classic country, vintage rock'n'roll, soul/motown and alternative music genres that fit under the banner of anglo-american music. The festival supports many worthy charities including Cancer Research, the Heart Foundation and McMillan Nurses to mention a few who have received support from this long running festival.
The festivals hosts a massive gathering of American/Canadian built automobiles, motorcycles and an ever growing number of great British/European class cars & motorcycles from the early 1900s to 1975. Some of the rarest vehicles often turn out to support the huge displays that are on show for the general public on the Saturday and Sunday, culminating in an awards presentations taking place on Sunday afternoon.

It is an event that few others can match for quality and that down home fun filled family atmosphere where there is something for everybody, be it vintage fashion shows, the popular Miss Americana contest, line-dance, rock'n'roll dance classes, listening to the awesome live music while drinking an ice cold beer or soft drink. The great food on offer is always a popular subject with their being numerous hot and cold food available to try out. Americana International leads the way in bringing a big slice of the USA to the UK, that few other events simply cannot better.

Children aged under 16 years old are admitted 'free' but must be accompanied by a paying adult who must be aged at least 25 years old and a valid I.D card is essential to gain entry for all teenagers & those parents/guardians who are bringing children to the festival. No I.D not admission.
