Compton Festival is a vibrant, family-run, two-day summer festival set in the heart of the South Downs National Park. It brings together live music, comedy, great food, local craft drinks, and hands-on arts and crafts in a relaxed countryside setting.

Originally created by local residents to celebrate the community and support the village recreation ground, the festival has grown from a small beer-focused event into a full weekend experience with multiple stages, diverse entertainment, and camping options.

The festival offers something for everyone—from live bands, tribute acts, and comedians, to circus performances, workshops, and children’s activities—making it a welcoming, family-friendly event. Alongside the entertainment, visitors can enjoy a wide selection of street food, local ales, ciders, and a marketplace featuring local artisans.

With its combination of music, creativity, food, and community spirit, Compton Festival delivers a laid-back, inclusive festival atmosphere in a beautiful rural setting.

This year’s lineup features an exciting mix of well-known acts, tribute bands, emerging artists and comedy talent across multiple stages. Highlights include Buzzcocks, Stornoway, and Red Hot Tribute Peppers, alongside performances from Pronghorn, Bonfire Radicals, Potato 5, Rachael McShane & The Cartographers, and Hannah Scott. The weekend also includes comedy from Yuriko Kotani, Daliso Chaponda and Tom Ward, plus a wide range of additional live music and entertainment across the Main Stage, Valley Stage and Bar Stage.
