Home of the Drum is a vibrant three-day and night festival featuring five stages of diverse music genres, live bands, DJs, theatrical performances, art installations, healing workshops, and a dedicated children's area. Our event is set within the historic grounds of The Workhouse, a Grade II Listed Building that adds a unique charm to the festival experience.
Key Highlights:
• Music Stages:
o Roots Dome: Showcasing eclectic beats transitioning into deep house music, with a Sunday focus on Reggae, Dub, and Afro rhythms.
o The Mandala: Hosting live bands across genres like Tribal, Folk, Live Electronica, Acoustic, Percussion, and Funk, along with spoken word performances.
o The Pulse: Delivering classic and pioneering Techno sounds, creating an immersive experience.
o Nebula: Featuring high-grade bass music, blending old-school vibes with cutting-edge beats.
o The Divine Fire: Offering chilled vibes with healing drumbeats and acoustic sounds in a mini amphitheatre setting.
• Workshops and Activities:
o Little Zen Den: A family-friendly space with activities such as kids' yoga, circus workshops, crafts, music workshops, and storytelling sessions.
o Tipi of Fusion (The Oasis): Hosting sessions like yoga, singing bowls, permaculture talks, shamanism discussions, and gong baths.
• Theatrical Show: A spectacular performance in our self-built amphitheatre, featuring over 100 drummers, musicians, fire, and walkabout performers, culminating in the symbolic burning of a Phoenix effigy to represent rebirth and unity.
