About

The Brook Street Band (includes a World Premiere), Solomon's Knot, Charlotte Schneider, PIVA and Taracea

The London International Festival of Early Music is the largest and most inclusive early music festival in the world. The festival began in 1973 and was first hosted at the Royal College of Music. The event moved to the Royal Horticultural Halls, and Greenwich, before finally finding its home at Blackheath Halls, in London’s oldest surviving purpose-built cultural venue.

The festival attracts a network of vibrant artists, early music enthusiasts and supporters and will run between 9-12 November beginning with an opening concert featuring The Brook Street Band, including a world premiere tba. Our concert line-up is completed by Solomon's Knot, Charlotte Schneider, PIVA and Spanish ensemble Taracea, making their debut appearance in the UK. St Michael’s church will also be the venue for festival evensong on 12th November and throughout all three days Blackheath Concert Halls will rejoice in the sight and sound of a full array of instrument makers. We will update our site on a regular basis with more details as they become available and tickets for LIFEM22 will go on sale on 1st August. In the meantime our unforgettable 2021 concerts are still available at Marquee TV.
