About

Every year, the lovely Cornish seaside town of Porthleven draws in the crowds during the off-season thanks to the Porthleven Food & Music Festival. You won’t want to miss out on this.

Everyone will be in high spirits as the community comes together to celebrate sumptuous food, local music, performances and art. There’s something for all ages. Foodies will be pleased to hear that festival patron Antony Worrall Thompson will once again be opening the event, and he’ll be taking to the stage with his amusing annual Ready Steady Cook style ‘cookoff’ with local Porthleven chef Jude Kereama of Kota restaurant. What’s more, Rick and Jack Stein (who’ve recently opened spanking new eatery in Porthleven) will also be showcasing dishes from Rick’s new TV series. Who knows, you might even pick up a handy tip or two. But that’s not all. On Sautday, there will be over 90 food and craft stalls dotted around the harbour, as well as two outdoor stages, a ‘Family Fiesta and Fairground’ and a film festival run by Half Cut Cinema.

Evening and Sunday live music events (organised by the marvellous Masked Ball team) are guaranteed to get the crowds going, and Hayseed Dixie has already been booked to headline on the Friday festival fundraiser night, whilst Duncan Disorderly and The Lumberjack Cowboy Heartbreak Trucking Company will take centre stage on Saturday night.
