The festival kicks off in March and runs from spring to autumn with a wide spectrum of music at stunning locations throughout the Ribble Valley.

The opening production on 3rd March at Christ Church Chatburn brings music from around the world performed by award winning Championship Section Wingates Band. Tickets £10 from 01254 384893.
This international flavour continues on 8th April at St Mary’s Centre in Clitheroe when tenor and platinum selling recording artist Jon Christos and the award winning celebrated West End and Broadway star Adam Lacey perform Musical Theatre, Classical Crossover, Pop and Swing hits following their critically acclaimed shows as Il Destino at prestigious events across Europe and the America.

Drama sequences add that something extra to a special 40’s theme night when Yorkshires most popular Big Band Echo 42 in forces uniform perform music from the Glenn Miller era with plenty of chance to dance and dress to impress in period attire at St Mary’s Centre on 20th May.

A landmark occasion will be a performance in Downham on 18th June by the Stonebridge String Quartet of the Forest of Bowland Suite which captures the beauty of the area in musical form. They are joined by Preston Opera Company who will meet the growing demand for this genre.

Encore Opera Groups return to the festival on 7th July to perform emotionally stirring arias in the historic location of Whalley Abbey following their sell out event last year in Downham. Tickets £8 from 01254 828400.
A summer afternoon concert will be the inaugural event in the beautiful setting of Slaidburn on 30th July to raise money for St Andrews Church. The Pendle Piano Trio will perform popular classics in an informal atmosphere.

An autumn Sunday afternoon at Chatburn Methodist Church on October 22nd provides the opportunity to enjoy the versatility of UK Championship winners Craven Accordion Orchestra with an extended programme.

This year’s production of the Last Night of the Chatburn Proms at Christ Church on 15th September will focus on a tribute to Disney music performed by Oldham Band (Lees), and with this festivals trademark of innovative features. The evening will be rounded off with all the prom favourites.
