Kendal Calling is an independent four-day music and arts festival held in Lowther Deer Park, in parkland south of Penrith in Cumbria. Founded in 2006 with an audience of 900, it has grown into one of the UK's best-known independent festivals.

The festival programmes music across more than ten stages alongside arts, comedy, food, camping and family entertainment, and has increasingly become as much about the experience as the bill - the illuminated woodland of Lost Eden, the Sunday teatime carnival and a series of immersive venues built specially each year. Recent headliners have included The Kooks, Two Door Cinema Club, Biffy Clyro and Wolf Alice.

Ticket demand is high: the previous year's release sold 80 per cent of tickets on the first day and the event sold out before the lineup was announced. Weekend tickets and upgrades including Live-In Vehicles, Emperors Fields, Great Plains, Tangerine Fields and Deer Lodge are released together, with purchases limited to six adult tickets.
