About
The Kent County Show is organised by the Kent County Agricultural Society, formed in 1923 from the merger of the Mid Kent and East Kent show societies. The first show was held at Wombwell Park, Gravesend, in 1923, and the show has been at the Kent Showground at Detling near Maidstone since 1964. The 2027 event will be the 96th show.
Visitors can expect livestock judging, Kent Young Farmers' Clubs rings, showjumping and equine classes, the Living Land Village, the Kent Art Quarter, Garden Life, a Countryside Area and a Heritage Section of vintage vehicles, plus pony rides and Giant Aldabra Tortoises.
The show attracts around 80,000 visitors each year. Early-bird tickets are due to launch later in 2026.
