About
The Royal Highland Show is organised by the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland (RHASS) and raises funds for the charity. It was first held in 1822 at Canongate in Edinburgh, on ground now occupied by the Scottish Parliament, and it has had a permanent home at Ingliston since 1960.
Visitors can expect championship livestock classes and extensive farming displays, the Scotland's Larder food and drink showcase featuring emerging businesses, more than 700 trade stands, the 101 Things to Do family programme, and competitions and awards including the RHASS Innovation Awards.
The show draws up to around 190,000 visitors a year, with a record 188,449 in 2015. Tickets for 2027 are already on sale through the show's official See Tickets page.
