About
The Bay International Film Festival is a film festival in Morecambe, Lancashire, now in its fourth edition. It was set up to bring world-class short films to Morecambe, and its patrons include Daragh Carville, co-creator of ITV's The Bay.
The festival screens international and British films rarely seen locally, alongside free or pay-what-you-can community screenings. Past editions have drawn filmmakers from across Europe and Canada, with jury awards including Best Northern Short and Best Local Community Film.
Screenings take place at venues across Morecambe, including Reel Cinema, More Music and the West End Playhouse. A sister event, the Bay Short Film Festival, tours Carnforth, Ulverston and Barrow-in-Furness each summer.
