Boomtown is a five-day theatre and music festival staged at the Matterley Estate near Winchester in Hampshire. Running since 2009, it is built as a temporary city divided into themed districts, each with its own architecture, characters and stage programming, and carries an ongoing narrative that runs across editions in numbered chapters.

Rather than a conventional stage layout, the site is designed to be wandered: districts hold their own venues and storylines, some site-wide, some local to a single neighbourhood, and audiences bring their own.

Music spans dance, reggae, ska, drum and bass, hip hop and rock across dozens of stages, and the 2026 edition ran to a capacity of just under 80,000.
