Elderflower Fields is an independent family festival held in Ashdown Forest in East Sussex. Designed specifically for families with younger children, it is widely recommended as an ideal first festival, and celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2026. It is deliberately kept small to preserve a safe, welcoming atmosphere.

The programme mixes live music and acoustic performances with theatre and storytelling, a broad sports and dance offering including a supervised Sports Camp, hands-on nature and sustainability activities, and an extensive arts and crafts programme. A wellbeing area runs yoga, mindfulness, massage, wood-fired hot tubs and a sauna for adults, and supervised sessions - including evening creche sessions - give parents genuine time off.

Food and drink are a strong point, with Sussex ales, artisan coffee and freshly prepared dishes catering for a range of dietary needs, and a "taste of Sussex" family picnic gathering everyone at the Dragonfly Stage on the Sunday. Under-fours attend free and camping is central to the weekend, with glamping and pre-allocated drive-up pitches available as upgrades.
