Electric Picnic is Ireland's largest gathering of music and arts, staged since 2004 in the grounds of Stradbally Hall in County Laois. The festival has grown from a boutique one-day event into one of the most distinctive festivals in Europe, often described as a rock and roll circus for the breadth of what it programmes.

Alongside the music the site carries theatre, comedy, visual art, food and holistic health areas, plus a series of long-running themed districts and villages that return and evolve each year - among them Fishtown, An Chollchoill, Croí and the family-focused Little Picnic. The result is a festival where the bill is only part of the reason people go.
