Its southern leg began in Hatfield in 2010 and moved in 2018 from the University of Hertfordshire to Hatfield Park, in the grounds of Hatfield House, which offered more than double the space and sits directly opposite Hatfield railway station.
The full line-up plays both Slam Dunk South and Slam Dunk North at Temple Newsam in Leeds on consecutive days. Past headliners include Paramore, Panic! At The Disco, Enter Shikari, Jimmy Eat World, Sum 41, NOFX and The Offspring, and the 20th-anniversary edition in 2026 was headlined by Good Charlotte and Knocked Loose, with Sublime, Taking Back Sunday and Dashboard Confessional also on the bill.
